With all of the changes to the traditional workplace over the past year, it’s important to ensure employees feel valued and appreciated in their current work environment. National Employee Appreciation Day is March 5, so there is no better time to show gratitude for your team’s hard work. 

In honor of the holiday, we’ve rounded up four easy ways to show appreciation for your employees today and year-round! 

#1 – Create an Intentional Avenue for Employee Shout-Outs

By providing a time and place for you and your employees to express gratitude, everyone will be more inclined to show thankfulness and appreciation for each other. Whether it’s in the first five minutes of internal meetings or through weekly communication on email or Slack, it’s important to find channels to celebrate employees regularly. 

#2 – Leverage Your Company’s Social Media Channels 

Giving individual shout-outs across your company’s social channels is a great way to showcase your team’s talent not only to the rest of the company, but also to clients, customers and beyond. If you’re in the office, surprise everyone with their favorite treats. This is a great tactic for birthdays, work anniversaries or holidays such as Employee Appreciation Day!
