Jennifer's background as an attorney fueled her desire to help others. Inspired to take action in response to the rise of the #metoo movement, Jennifer and her husband, Jared, knew there was a better way to handle workplace harassment and discrimination. In 2018, they figured out the solution and founded Work Shield together.
Born and raised (mostly!) in Texas, Jennifer graduated from Texas A&M University and SMU’s Dedman School of Law. She brings to Work Shield a wealth of knowledge and experiences from her days working in the Defined Benefit Practice Group at Hewitt Associates, practicing corporate and securities law at Thompson & Knight and serving as the Associate Director of Career Services at her alma mater.
Deeply passionate about creating inclusive and equitable workplace cultures, Jennifer considers Work Shield’s mission a very personal commitment, and is a true advocate for anyone who doesn’t have a real voice. Jennifer is part of Work Shield’s backbone, helping us stay focused, positive and forward-thinking.
Jennifer enjoys family time with Jared and their two children, walking with their Wheaten Terrier Hazel, good food, and sitting on the back porch with a great cocktail. She has a love of learning, and always has an interesting podcast recommendation at the ready.
